| 8 Hour Hands On Class For 4: Studio Lighting Techniques For Hairstyling Beauty Fashion Imagery Instructor: Jean Sweet Class Fee: $290 (includes lunch and model fee) Date: Sunday, January 22, 2012 Location: Jean Sweet Studio, 165 N. Canal Street, Chicago, IL 60606 Class Format:This class is for any hairstylist who has a camera and wants to learn more about using light sources for photographing hair session work - commercial and editorial. Morning Session is a demonstration covering: Storbe Lights verses Hot Lights and what to buy to start, use of umbrellas, soft boxes, beauty dish, how to shoot if you only have one light using reflection, shooting with 2 and 3 lights. After the lunch break is the afternoon hands on photo session: Learn how to direct the makeup artist and model, how to look for details in the hair while shooting, how to style hair on set, what can be retouched and what cannot, how to edit images and how to use "Camera Raw" and Photo Shop to process images. |

| 8 Hour Hands On Class For 3 Participants - Editorial Hairstyling - "Working With Hair Pieces" Instructor: Jean Sweet Class Fee: $450 (includes model fee, use of hair goods & 1 retouched image) Date: Sunday, March 25, 2012 Location: Studio: 165 N. Canal Street, Chicago, IL 60606 Class Format: Each class is assigned a model (Jean Sweet provides aspiring photogenic models) The morning begins with a preparation class which covers editorial hairstyling and a group discussion about the hairstyling concept for the day's session work. Then each participant begins on their hairstyle (on a model), supervised by Jean. For this class, Jean will have a makeup artist on hand to apply makeup for the afternoon shoot. After a lunch break, the class will turn into a photo session. The class format provides a great platform for learning: the participants learn from each other's hairstyling process. At the end of the session, each participant chosses their "best" model shot to be retouched by Jean. The participants can use their photos for their portfolios, web sites and facebook promotions. |
